Deftones Fanpage Project
A project involving HTML, CSS, and beginner JavaScript.
Objective
The purpose of this project was to showcase the JavaScript skills I have learned in class in a project whose outcome was fully my choice. This was my final exam submission and shows my development of JavaScript skills and the prior knowledge I had in other classes.
Process
Before any coding began, I sketched out wireframes and gathered assets and their sources. When I had a design that I felt worked, I began coding the HTML and staying true to what I had laid out in my wireframes. Once all the content was set, I began coming up with a color scheme and font choice and then began coding visual elements of the website. The last phase of the project consisted of coding Javascript elements. In this project, that was in the form of a dark/light mode button, a form validator, a number game, and a gallery.
Synopsis
With this project, I was inspired by older hobbyist websites from the early 2000’s, the likes of what you’d see on Neocities or other early hosting sites. The color scheme is inspired by the music the band plays, so more intense reds and darker colors were used.
Results
The feedback for this project was positive and it resulted in a high grade
